Unleavened white bread in the form of a thin flatbread made from wheat flour. Bread is shared during ordinary and festive feasts, on birthdays and weddings, as well as at funerals. The sharing of bread is accompanied by appropriate words of encouragement and good wishes. The tradition is passed directly from master to apprentice and is an expression of hospitality and solidarity, as well as symbolizing shared cultural roots and strengthening a sense of community.
