Asyk is the supracalcaneal bone (talus) of sheep (mainly rams) and, less commonly, other small livestock. Asyks are placed in a row. The player throws an asyk-cue ball from a distance of several meters, with which the other asyks need to be knocked out of the kon (circle). It is also necessary for the cue ball to be in a certain position. The game "Asyki" promotes the development of cognitive and physical skills. Asyks, as a symbol of childhood, play an important role in strengthening the social cohesion of the Kazakh people and creating a sense of unity and identity. Children are a key link in preserving this object.
